Description

We start our meal by saying” besme Allah Al Rahman Al Rahim” meaning In the name of Allah the Beneficent the Merciful.

Welcome to “Al Bait Al Qadeem” (Old House) a new cultural and historical concept delivered through food and atmosphere. We have chosen a unique location for “Al Bait Al Qadeem” Restaurant and Cafe as the building was originally constructed in 1909 and owned by Mr. Abdulla Bin Jamaan, who was the possessor of pearl diving boats, also he was working as a guardman for Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoom, then he became the first director of Dubai Municipality in 1954 A.D. It is located in the historic Al Ras area in Dubai where you can smell and feel the history of the city.

I had the fortune to have lunch at this restaurant yesterday. The food and drinks were delicious, all the staff was beyond friendly and the ambiance at the patio was very pleasant. Please, let me know the name of the welcome drink. It was sooo delicate and refreshing.

Very good traditional food and very large portions! We are from the US and this is actually the first place we ate in Dubai while visiting the souks… One of only a few places open during Ramadan: it was fairly quiet but looked to be a pretty large and happening place at other times. Anyways the food was wonderful: many side dishes included (not sure if that was part of our meals or what: but it was a lot of food so be careful not to order to much) but we also got the fruit juices and honestly everything was great: good service, ambiance, food and prices (was expecting the bill to be higher but total came in around $40 usd for the two of us). Definitely a worthwhile spot to check out.

What a great little restaurant for Arabian style food.
The hummus and tabboulah were particular highlights along with the welcome and great service.
Close to the gold and spice souks and a refreshing change to the style of downtown.

The name tells it all. I love the ambience, the aesthetics and the service.

I liked that they served us welcome water, and it has this nice taste like saffron.

And the food was a good portion, tasted okay, but wasn’t hot as I would have expected. But all together a lovely experience ❤️. It’s a great place to visit as a tourist.

A real hidden gem in Al Ras area. Came here for Breakfast. From the road it looks a bid wierd with Arab mannequin dolls out front, but through a small passage, you come into the restaurent which is quite big and quirky. Service was good, and food even better.
