Description

he History Of Cinema Museum in Dubai is for everyone, adults and children. Anyone who loves cinema will appreciate our story. The purpose of the museum is to share the prehistory of cinema through objects complimented by digital clips and interactive models, collected over 35 years by Mr. Akram Miknas, a Bahraini/Lebanese business man with a passion for photography. Inauguratedby Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, the museum exhibits more than 300 unique artefacts presented for the first time in Middle East, Asia and Africa. This rare and stunning collection is what makes The History of Cinema Museum is the only one of its kind in the world and one of the best Museums in Dubai and the UAE.

All items in the museum are original, dating back from the 1730s to the twentieth century and covering the whole development of visual entertainment, from the earliest days of shadows theaters to the invention of 3D and the birth of modern-day cinema.

Located in Tecom, Barsha Heights, the History Of Cinema Museum offers visitors an interactive experience where children and adults can make a magical journey into the past.

Please, if you closing for renovation, inform people. On google it shows it’s open, and have to make trip though all Dubai from DIFC and back to only hear that “we are close for renovation, come maybe up to the end of the week”
