We were visiting as a big group for a celebration and overall I am satisfied with my experience. The ambience at Zuma is amazing, dim lights with some music and a live view of the chefs making the food. I also appreciated the bar being in a different location from the dinning area, which is great at separating the different forms of settings and customers. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

For starters we went with the edamame, miso soup, crab soup, crispy fried squid and tiger prawn tempura. The crab soup was slightly fishy so I would recommend the miso soup. My favorites were the crispy fried squid and the tempura, great for sharing.

As for the sashimi, we chose the salmon, tuna, scallops and squid. For the rolls we went for California, sake maki, spicy salmon and spicy hamachi. All of which were great. In addition we were served an extra plate of crispy California rolls which was a nice gesture.

For the mains, the spicy beef tenderloin was well seasoned and cooked to our liking. While the beef skewers were tender, with a slight sweetness. I would recommend both to be cooked medium.
The grilled octopus was presented nicely, but had a slight chewiness. It was ok, but could be improved. I have been served better grilled octopus in Japanese fusion restaurants in Dubai.
The oyster mushroom with butter wafu sauce had a beefy texture with some sourness. Great for non-meat eaters.
For drinks I enjoyed the boutoko. It has a refreshing fruity and candy-ish flavor.

Finally for desserts I would recommend the special chocolate with vanilla ice-cream for chocolate lovers. The exotic fruit platter with tropical sorbet was beautifully presented with two scoops of sorbet on the top and a variety of fresh fruit. However I would’ve loved seeing more sorbet flavors on the platter in comparison to the fruits.

      Thank you for having us.

The waiters are very rude and service very amateur. The only good staff are in the main entrance welcome team and security and valet services are very good. Inside is a fake balloon. Money for value is real bad experience. Simple example: the food comes but cutlery not comes, asked for soy sauce, the sauce came but the plate to put the sauce not comes, have to ask 2 times for cutlery, finally called the manager he solved a simple cutlery, he was polite but I am sorry this place not gives any confidence in the upstairs bar area.
Barman was also cool to be fair.
I will give them another chance in future let’s see. Maybe they had a bad day today but Zuma should have done much better after seeing Istanbul super service

You meantion the name Zuma, and everyone instantly recognizes it.
The place is a very well-known Japanese restaurant with multiple branches in the Middle East.
The place is beautifully designed, two floors, upper floor is better for food and drinks where there’s the bar and the nice vibes.
The music was really good , it goes really well with the class of this place.
The food was excellent in taste and presentation, gives out the feeling that you’re selling a liver to pay for it, and many people say it’s expensive, but it’s not as bad as they say, we were 4 people ordered 2 rounds of multiple shushi, maki and pasta platters with drinks and it cost us 280 dirhams each.
The service was impeccable and the staff are very friendly.
Great place to spend your weekend evening at, just make sure you book a table way prior to the date and also, been told that you can only hold your table for like two hours, in our case we stayed an extra hour there.
      Highly recommended 👌

The experience of watching the skilled chefs prepare the dishes right in front of me was truly captivating. The spicy edamame had the perfect balance of heat and flavor, making it a great appetizer. As for the seafood sushi and sashimi, the freshness and quality of the ingredients were great. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience that showcased the artistry and precision of Japanese cuisine. After 11:30 PM, it transforms into a lively club atmosphere. If you enjoy a vibrant nightlife and the combination of sushi and dancing, this transition could be a great fit for you. However, if you prefer a more intimate dining experience, it’s advisable to visit earlier in the evening when it’s less crowded and maintains its focus on the culinary aspect.
